Important: The lamp is not powered via USB-C; it operates only through the included power adapter. The clamp is designed exclusively for desk mounting. Glass desktops are not recommended.

Innovations

ASYM-TriZone Light™. The lamp head directs light downwards and forwards in a triangular beam. It illuminates the area from the keyboard to the far edge of the desk while keeping light off the screens.

mmWave Presence Detection. The radar sensor detects movement in front of the monitors and switches on the lamp when you sit down. There is no need to search for a button.

Rear Ambient Lighting. Reduces the contrast between the illuminated screen and the dark wall behind it. In a dimly lit room, this helps reduce visual strain during extended work sessions.

Description

Using two monitors provides a larger workspace, but it also makes lighting more challenging: a conventional desk lamp can cause screen glare, while a dark area may remain between the displays. The BenQ ScreenBar Max is designed to address this problem. With a width of 85 cm, it illuminates the entire desk from a single mounting point. ASYM-TriZone Light™ directs light downwards and forwards, while the 36° shielding angle keeps it away from the screens and your eyes. Centre illuminance reaches 1400 lx at a height of 71 cm, while the area receiving 500 lx measures 135 × 58 cm.

Ra ≥ 95 and Rf ≥ 96 support accurate colour perception, which is important when working with design, photography and video. Rear ambient lighting softens the contrast between the screen and the wall behind it, helping make evening work more comfortable. The mmWave sensor switches on the lamp when you approach, while automatic brightness adjustment maintains suitable illumination according to ambient light conditions.

The colour temperature can be adjusted smoothly from 2700 K to 6000 K: warm light for the evening and cool light to support concentration during the day. Three height settings and a rail with an adjustment range of 17.5–28 cm allow you to position the lamp to suit your monitors. The clamp attaches to desktops up to 6 cm thick and has a base measuring 9 × 7 cm. The lamp operates independently, without software or a computer connection.
